Tom Bartz, formerly a marketing executive with Exxon, BP Oil, and Tesoro founded Accelitec to improve on features offered by Speedpass, an in-house RFID-based loyalty / payment program used by ExxonMobil (with over 9mm current customers). Bartz addressed several key areas of Speedpass that would provide traction for this type of program in other retail categories, such as prohibitively high customer acquisition and maintenance costs, and a high implementation burden. Accelitec | interact was designed from the inside out, with retailers’ interests at the foremost: simple to operate, yet delivering the most sophisticated, scalable results on the market.
